At AudioWave Records, transparency and trust are not marketing phrases — they are the foundation of how we operate.

Recently, a series of public claims have circulated online questioning the integrity of AudioWave Records, including allegations relating to data platforms, artist signings, and the authenticity of our achievements. As these claims are now appearing in public search contexts, we believe it is important to address them clearly, calmly, and factually — not to inflame debate, but to ensure artists, partners, and industry professionals have an accurate understanding of how AudioWave Records works.

This article sets out the facts.

How AudioWave Records Uses Data Platforms Like SongStats

AudioWave Records uses industry-standard analytics platforms, including SongStats, in the same way thousands of labels, publishers, managers, promoters, and PR companies do worldwide.

Tracking a song is not the same as claiming ownership.Tracking a song is not the same as signing an artist.

SongStats allows labels and companies to monitor public releases for purposes such as:

  • Editorial and publication reporting

  • Chart and playlist monitoring

  • Market awareness and trend analysis

  • PR and promotional coverage

  • Sync and pitching intelligence

This functionality is explicitly permitted by the platform. SongStats has confirmed that labels are able to track any public releases they wish, regardless of ownership, for monitoring and informational purposes.

At no point has AudioWave Records misrepresented ownership of music, nor claimed credit for releases we do not control.

What AudioWave Records Does Not Do

To be completely clear:

  • AudioWave Records does not sign artists based on SongStats metrics

  • AudioWave Records has never offered contracts on the basis of analytics screenshots or platform numbers

  • AudioWave Records does not use third-party metrics as a substitute for creative judgement, musical quality, or long-term potential

Our signing decisions are based on:

  • Direct A&R assessment

  • Creative alignment

  • Professional conduct

  • Artist vision and long-term career potential

Metrics may provide context — they do not determine value.

Independent Success Beyond Any Analytics Platform

AudioWave Records’ results do not rely on any single analytics platform.

Our catalogue includes:

  • Verified chart placements

  • Playlist support across multiple DSPs

  • Commercially successful releases

  • Publishing and sync activity

  • Live bookings, DJ programming, and events

  • Ongoing artist development across multiple genres

These outcomes exist independently of SongStats and are verifiable through distributor reporting, DSP data, partner platforms, and contractual outcomes.

Additionally, independent industry platforms contacted regarding recent claims have found no wrongdoing by AudioWave Records and have declined requests to remove or penalise our accounts.

What Artists Say About Working With AudioWave Records

The most important measure of any label is not a statistic — it is the lived experience of the artists and professionals who work with it.

Below are full, unedited testimonials from artists and collaborators across releases, bookings, and long-term development:

Maxim Black

“It’s very rare that communication with someone you’ve never met in person starts on the same wavelength — with such clarity, mutual understanding, and genuine respect. That doesn’t happen often. But this is exactly what I feel in my conversations with AudioWave Records team.In today’s industry, that is a rare treasure. And it’s precisely why I feel fully aligned with becoming a long term part of the AudioWave team.AudioWave is more than a label, it is a musical family built on trust, respect, and belief in something real.I will do everything I can to help AudioWave grow, to make it stronger, and to ensure it continues to bring real music with soul to people who are searching for something meaningful.I am grateful for this connection with AudioWave Records. I truly value it.With respect and gratitude,Maxim.”

Keto Van Harum

“Audiowave Records is more than a label to me — it’s a place where music is treated as emotion, not just sound. From the very beginning, I felt a genuine sense of trust, openness, and creative freedom.Working with Mylo and Benji (Twin Frequency) — who are not only incredibly talented but also close friends and brothers — has been deeply inspiring. Their passion, honesty, and vision create an environment where artists feel understood, supported, and encouraged to express their true selves.Audiowave stands for authenticity, human connection, and storytelling through music, and being part of this journey truly means a lot to me.”

Rommel De Luna

“From the moment I joined the AWR family, I was met with a level of kindness and professional respect that is rare in this industry. It became clear almost immediately that this label operates on a different set of values than the standard corporate model.Where many other labels would charge a minimum of a thousand dollars just for entry level access or basic resources, AWR has proven to be a true partner in my career. They provide far more than just a suite of tools; they offer the kind of strategic guidance and mentorship that is usually gatekept behind high fees. What sets them apart is their commitment to my long-term growth. They aren’t just helping me release music — they are actively shaping my path and empowering me to become the artist I have always envisioned. I am incredibly grateful to be part of a team that prioritises the artist’s vision as much as the final product.”
