Having worked in the mental health field for over 15 years, Teddy channels both his personal and professional experiences into his music, creating tracks that connect deeply with listeners. His signing to AudioWave Records marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter — and the official launch of his next two releases with the label.

“It’s an incredible honour as an American making UKG to be recognised by people from the UK — the birthplace of the genre,” says Teddy.“To have AudioWave believe in what I’m doing means the world.”

The Journey from Listener to Creator

Teddy’s relationship with music runs deep — from listening to Sting on cassette tapes in his dad’s car as a child, to picking up the viola at school, and eventually finding his voice as a producer years later.

But it wasn’t until a life-changing moment at a music festival three years ago that he realised his true calling.

“I was struck by the realisation that I could do it,” he says.“That music could be more than something I loved — it could be something I created. I went home, bought my first decks, found a mentor, and started producing. That was the start of everything.”

Since then, Teddy’s been on an upward trajectory, performing across Colorado, developing his sound, and carving out his place in the electronic music community.

The Emotion Behind the Sound

Teddy’s production style sits firmly in the realm of UK Garage, layered with emotional intensity and thoughtful design. His creative process begins with feeling — fear, anxiety, joy, dread, love — and transforms those raw emotions into sonic experiences.

“I listen to music all day, every day,” Teddy explains.“I look for songs that I connect with and use them as references. Then I create from emotion — I want every track to reflect an experience or feeling, something real that people can resonate with.”

His upcoming single, “I’m Thinkin,” is a prime example of that vision — a track that captures the tension and introspection of overthinking through nostalgic UKG grooves and heavier, more cinematic synth work.

“It’s the first time I really allowed myself to be vulnerable in production,” he says.“It’s about anxiety, but also about reflection — turning something mental into something musical.”

Defining His Sound

When describing his style, Teddy doesn’t shy away from complexity:

“It’s emotional, repetitive, dancey, and sometimes dark,” he says.“I like to cover the full spectrum of emotions — I want people to go on a journey when they hear my music, from euphoria to introspection.”

That duality — light and dark, energy and emotion — is what makes his music stand out. Every set, every track is designed to take the audience somewhere new, both sonically and spiritually.

Milestones and Momentum

Teddy’s proudest moment so far is signing two tracks with AudioWave Records, joining a label known for championing authenticity and creativity.

He also recently performed one of his most personal shows yet in Colorado — where he had full creative control and delivered a set that felt true to his evolving sound.

“That show was special because it felt like me — I wasn’t just playing tracks, I was telling a story.”

Influences and Inspiration

Teddy draws inspiration from some of the most forward-thinking names in dance music — Sammy Virji, Odd Mob, MPH, Chris Lake, and Porter Robinson.

Each of these artists embodies the fusion of energy, craftsmanship, and emotional storytelling that Teddy brings to his own work.

“These guys are all incredible at what they do,” he says.“They each have their own sound — and that’s what I’m chasing too: creating something that’s undeniably mine.”

Looking Ahead

Teddy has no plans to slow down. He’s currently building momentum with new UKG projects — around 15 works in progress — and several remixes that will soon appear on SoundCloud.

His mission? To bring the UK Garage sound to the American scene and introduce new audiences to its energy, emotion, and nostalgia.

“There’s not much UKG here in Colorado,” he admits,“but I want to change that. I want to give people a new way to listen — something they’ll never forget.”

Advice for Upcoming Artists

When asked what he’d tell other producers just starting out, Teddy’s words come from experience:

“Embrace every step. There’ll be times you feel like an imposter, like you don’t belong — but you do. This music is for everyone.Keep going, keep learning, and trust that the frustrating times are part of the process.”

What Real Music Means to Teddy

To Teddy, real music isn’t about genre, fame, or charts — it’s about emotion.

“Music is made to share an experience, make you feel something, or tell a story. If it moves you, it’s real. That’s all that matters.”
