When tragedy strikes, music unites. On Sunday 16th November 2025, the heart of Exeter will pulse with purpose as Bomba, the city’s beloved hub for culture and bass, hosts a special fundraising event in support of ShelterBox and their emergency relief efforts in Jamaica following the devastating storm that recently tore through the island.

Standing in Solidarity with Jamaica
The Caribbean has once again felt the full force of nature. In the wake of the recent storm, thousands across Jamaica have been displaced, homes destroyed, and communities left struggling to rebuild. Power outages, flooding, and severe damage to infrastructure have left many families in need of shelter, clean water, and medical support.
ShelterBox, the Cornwall-based international disaster relief charity, is on the ground providing emergency shelter and essential supplies to those affected — and Exeter’s creative community is coming together to help.
The Spirit of Bomba
At the heart of this movement is Bomba, a venue that has become synonymous with warmth, inclusion, and world-class sound. Known for its powerful, handcrafted sound system, designed to deliver every frequency with clarity and weight, Bomba has become a sanctuary for lovers of reggae, dub, and global bass culture.
Under the stewardship of Brian, the venue’s passionate owner and organiser of this event, Bomba has always represented more than just music — it’s a meeting place for community, connection, and compassion. Whether you come for the sound, the food, or the family atmosphere, Bomba always feels like home.
Brian’s vision for this event is simple yet profound: “We can’t watch what’s happening in Jamaica and do nothing. Reggae is the heartbeat of that island — it’s given the world so much love, rhythm, and unity. This is our way of giving something back.”
A World-Class Line-Up, Playing for the Cause
On the day, an incredible roster of DJs — all donating their time and talent for free — will take to the decks, showcasing the best in reggae, roots, dub, and steppas.
DJ Line-Up (A–Z):Bex, David Headlock, Highest Grade, Ishan Sound, Kai Stanley, Lazy Shaun, Monsoon, Nick Manning, Ruffneck, Twin Frequency, and Version Girl Hosted by: Eddy Banton
Expect deep roots selections, conscious dub, and heavyweight steppas vibrations reverberating through Bomba’s mighty system — every bassline carrying a message of hope and unity.
Food, Vibes & Community
As always, Bomba’s kitchen will be serving up all tings Jerk — smoky, spicy flavours straight from the islands — alongside cold drinks, big smiles, and even bigger vibes. From start to finish, this day promises good food, good people, and a good cause.
