Banny Decks grew up immersed in the vibrant soundscape of the 1990s and 2000s — often regarded as the golden era of Jungle, Drum and Bass, and UK Garage. His earliest musical memories are steeped in the energy of classics like M Beat’s Sweet Love, Champion Sound, 21 Seconds, 138 Trek, Ray Keith’s Chopper, and the electrifying sets of Brockie and Det, Skibba and Shabba, DJ EZ, Sparks and Kie, So Solid Crew, and Heartless Crew. These influences didn’t just soundtrack his youth — they shaped the DNA of the artist he would become.

Starting out as an MC on the pirate radio circuit, Banny quickly became a familiar voice in London’s underground scene. His charisma and passion carried him from radio waves to club stages, performing across London and Essex before taking his sound overseas to the Greek islands during the summer seasons. Those early years behind the mic taught him the rhythm of the crowd, the pulse of the bassline, and the power of authentic connection through music.

Banny was also a regular face at legendary venues like Stratford Rex and Bagley’s — iconic rave destinations that have since closed their doors but remain etched in Drum and Bass history. These nights were more than parties; they were cultural landmarks that inspired a generation of artists and ravers alike.

Today, Banny draws inspiration from a new wave of talent such as Sub Focus, Mozey, A Little Sound, Nia Archives, Subsonic, Chase & Status, and Kanine. Their innovation fuels his own creative evolution as he continues to carve out his sound — a fusion of nostalgia and next-generation energy.

After a period dedicated to songwriting, Banny reignited his passion for DJing and production, training at the prestigious London Sound Academy. Now based in his own studio in Hackney Wick, East London, he is fully focused on crafting music that moves both heart and feet.

Banny’s productions are defined by authenticity — he creates what he wants to hear, not what’s expected. His tracks balance catchy, resonant vocals with powerful build-ups and basslines that compel dancefloors to erupt. Rooted in the old-school foundations of Jungle and Drum & Bass but reimagined through a modern lens, his music bridges generations with ease.

Recently, Banny signed three tracks to AudioWave Records, marking a major milestone in his career. The collection captures his signature blend of raw energy, emotional depth, and technical precision — the sound of a producer who knows where the music came from and where it’s going next.

Fans won’t have to wait long either — the vinyl EP drops on 7th November 2025, exclusively available at www.audiowaverecords.co.uk, with the digital release following across all DSPs on 5th December 2025. The dual release format pays homage to both the tactile, analogue warmth of vinyl and the modern accessibility of digital streaming — perfectly reflecting Banny’s ethos of bridging eras while staying true to the culture.

With deep respect for the past and a fearless drive toward the future, Banny Decks stands as a true representative of the evolving UK bass sound — authentic, passionate, and unshakably original.
